OUR FABRICS
It is quality rather than quantity that matters!
At Wellicious, we love pushing the boundaries of sustainable fashion. Our fibre blends are unique, our dyeing technologies are innovative and every material we use is ethically sourced and gentle on both the environment and your skin. We work only with circular, biodegradable and Cradle to Cradle Certified materials that have earned the highest Platinum status.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® Platinum fabrics are wonderful for your skin because they are created using materials that prioritise human health. They are carefully assessed to ensure they contain no harmful toxins or irritants, and they are produced using environmentally friendly methods. The result is activewear that feels incredibly soft while giving you complete peace of mind.
For our sustainable yoga and activewear, we use GOTS certified organic cotton known for its luxurious softness and durability. Our cotton comes from Peru and Turkey. It is grown by farmers who live close to the land, without pesticides or herbicides, and with farming methods that protect the environment, humans and animals.
Curious about the journey of your clothing? Each cotton ball is treated with care and spun into thread and fabric under strict environmental and quality standards. To enhance movement and comfort, we blend our GOTS cotton with biodegradable elastane. Elastane is essential in yoga clothing because it adds flexibility while keeping the natural softness of the fabric.
For our newest circular yoga & activewear collection, we have introduced a highly innovative biodegradable elastane that breaks down without releasing any harmful substances into nature. It has been verified by the renowned Hohenstein Institute and awarded the Environmental Compatibility certificate. It is currently the only elastane worldwide recognised as non ecotoxic, which makes it a true breakthrough in sustainable sportswear.
The Hohenstein Institute is an internationally renowned research and testing company that has provided neutral testing, certification and development of textiles and textile-related products since 1946.
