Vamizi Island Retreat - Inspired By Nature

Recently voted one of the best hotels in the Indian Ocean and Africa, in Conde Nast Traveller Awards 2011 and featured in Tatler Travel Guide 2012, Vamizi Island is firmly established as one of the world’s favourite destinations. Exclusive for 2012, Vamizi Island “inspired by nature”, is launching Vamizi Island Retreats. Vamizi Island is offering guests a unique opportunity to revive, restore and rejuvenate on their very own private island. Hosted by renowned yoga, health and fitness instructor, Claire Finlay, each guest receive a one-to consultation to create a tailor-made itinerary ensuring they do as much or as little as they wish. Choose from vinyasa yoga on the shoreline, followed by a freshly prepared juice or smoothie from the island’s “natural pharmacy” before embarking on an exhilarating open water dive or big game-fishing trip.

Alternatively lie back and read your book whilst Samango monkeys play nearby or take a beachcombing walk with the island’s resident naturalist before indulging in Vamizi’s very own signature massage. This is exercise and nutrition as nature intended, the beach is your gymnasium and the ocean is your larder, your time will be spent outside at one with nature and this blissful hidden island gem will work its magic over the course of this quite extraordinary retreat. 2012 Vamizi Island Retreats are being held 21-27th January, 5-11th March, and 10-16th November 2012 from £2550 per person including yoga, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, flight transfers and accommodation on a fully inclusive basis.
