Yoga At Every Age

Yoga is a sport for any age, with many enthusiasts practising it throughout their lives either consistently or for many different periods. Many women report that their yoga journey begins at university or in their twenties, as part of a foray into a healthy, mindful existence involving fitness and an interest in new-age therapies like pilates.
While yoga is beneficial at any age, many who practise yoga at a younger age find that get less out of it; they don't need to practise as often as their masters recommend, as their bodies are naturally flexible. For many women, the practise of yoga in their thirties coincides with maternity yoga therapies. While there are some quite different restrictions on pregnant women, yoga is nonetheless a great idea for pregnancy, helping strengthen core muscles to aid the body in supporting your bump and while in labour. Post-natal yoga can be used to tighten the muscles, gain confidence and even get back to your pre-pregnancy figure... or just as an escape to catch up on the Divine yoga mats with other Mums!
Yoga in your forties is a different experience again. It is often said that it is in the face of all the little aches, pains and stiffness of aging that yoga comes into its own, aiding flexibility and comfort as well as warding off minor illness. Wherever you are in your yoga journey, Wellicious is with you. For beautiful yoga clothing for any age and the best yoga mats in the market, call us or go online.← Previous Post Next Post →
