The Malabar Trading shop opened in 2001 in the vibrant market town of Bridport in Dorset. The aim has always been to provide personally selected, hand crafted items from around the world. They stock items of the finest quality which display the great craft and skill of the world’s textile artisans. Malabar Trading go directly to suppliers and manufacturers in other parts of the world to acquire new stock. Their trips abroad never involve a quick visit to the local market to pick up the latest cheap, synthetic products! They have taken many years to find suppliers who can provide products of the highest quality whilst maintaining their ethical standards.
From India they have an extensive range of Kashmir, range of pure cotton, hand block printed textiles and hand painted crafts. The range of hand block printed cotton textiles includes voile curtain panels, quilted bedcovers, duvet sets, cot, quilts, cushion covers, bedspreads, napkins, tablecloths and kimonos.
