Pilates, Yoga, founder BodyMindSol
Loved by clients for her resonant voice, understanding of the human body and heartfelt and dedicated teaching approach, Sol gives each session her full attention.
Expect energising and flowing sessions that will drive you to discover new, fresh aspects of yourself and your practice when you're in Sol's healing hands.
Born to an active life incorporating sports as diverse as choreographed dance, basketball and cycling, Sol was first introduced to yoga at age ten and - through using yoga and studies of mind, body and being to work through her own rehabilitation - recovered from a knee operation 4 years later to eventually run a marathon, finish a half ironman and 10km ocean in her thirties.
This drive and zest for knowledge and transformation are mirrored in a lifelong fascination with the human body and spirit. Sol's private yoga, Pilates and energy healing based therapy sessions are an expression of the depth of her passion - after years of working with clients with special needs such as training for the Paralympics, recovering from trauma and surviving cancer.
Instead of "teaching yoga or Pilates", Sol believes that these forms of movement offer gateways to presencing particular person and allowing them to shift deeply and profoundly from within. This has been Sol's own experience both lived and experienced with clients as well as researched and studied. She believes students need to bring a willingness to shift and find what resonates with them in any particular moment to step fully onto their path. Courage with compassion, the way of the spiritual warrior resonate deeply with Sol.
Originally certified in Stott Pilates reformer and mat in 2010, swiftly followed by a number of trainings, certifications and a lot of regular classes and private clients, Sol's greatest influences are her initial energy work and Hatha yoga experience from her teens, her advanced teacher trainers, the internationally highly regarded Ana Forrest and Simon Borg-Olivier of Yoga Synergy, as well as in depth energy healing work with Ghata Iris Engels throughout 2013 and 2014 and lastly, her own body's many injuries and conditions during ten years working in other industries before returning back to her yogic path.
With a degree in journalism and her "former life" encompassing team leading, writing, modelling and presenting, Sol has created her own wellbeing company to shine her light wherever it helps the most. You'll find an extensive body of Sol's work online. If you're new to yoga, check out her column on "why yoga" here on the SBS website; http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2013/11/07/body-mind-and-sol-why-and-how-should-i-yoga

She is also author of the book "Yin Yoga of the Heart", "How wholesome and beautiful it is in life to deal with your Self ... " What exactly is meant by that, she first learned in a very ungentle way. After an intense burnout and a severe depression, she learned on her path to healing how Yoga, Yin Yoga and Vipassana meditation affect the way to recovery. She quit her job after 19 years as a casting director in a large and well-known film production company in Munich and devoted herself to yoga with emphasis on YIN YOGA, burnout prevention, meditation, stress management.
Tanya's teaching is characterized by its healing she experienced through these methods and inspired by her certifications in mental training (meditation, mindfulness, awareness raising and Healing, Yoga Nidra relaxation therapist) and she aims to authentically transmit her knowledge, caringly and with lots of empahty and to inspire her students to further travel to physical, mental and spiritual transformation with a lot of energy coming from the heart! Yin & Hatha Yoga
My great interest in movement and body awareness brought me as a young adult to the Academy of Dance in Mannheim. Appearances on the tv show " Wetten das ... " followed with the Scorpions , and other celebrities. I discovered my love for yoga when I moved to Malaga and was working as a graphic designer – and in 2003 I attended my first yoga class. The asanas, energy and philosophical approaches helped me through the stressful time .
The Meridian Academy made me a fitness Instructor (A license ) and Saf Beta & Education Academy provided me with the professional certificate: "professional trainer for intensive yoga".
In 2010 I graduated from the Sivananda Vendanta Education in India / Vrindavan. In June of 2011 I successfully completed the training in Ayurveda - Ayurveda Retreat Hospital in Coonor / India. November 2011 followed by the Thai Massage Education at Chiang Mai ITM school. October 2012 - March 2013 I lived in Australia and taught yoga at Barefoot Yoga .
In New Zealand / Wellington I taught a yoga workshop. In Australia I learned Yin Yoga. Since then I cannot imagine my regular yoga practice without the Yin element. Yin Yoga is truly the perfect antidote to all muscle - active yoga styles and methods .
On this basis I have developed my own yoga style, which combines Ayurvedic and Thai massages and allows our energy (Chi , Prana) to flow again . I want many people to show what yoga is for me, namely:
Discovering the true inner beauty, increasing body awareness and a higher level of self- satisfaction.

Pilates teacher, Founder backzoom.net
Heike and her husband Thomas were among the first Pilates instructors to have been trained in Germany by Polestar. Since 2001, they live with their son in Majorca, where they founded the Via Vitale Pilates and Spine Center. Both teach with a lot of heart and passion and take the time for their clients. It is particularly important to them to stay true to the philosophy of Joseph Pilates. Beginning of 2014, they started with their team backzoom.net. The Online Back Club. It is their goal to create a customer-oriented platform relating to the back where people can get help, to do something good for their backs and to network with each other. Around 70% of people suffer from back problems. As a balance to her job she enjoys with her family the beautiful nature of Majorca and they like to go traveling together worldwide. It is important for her to find the balance, to find the center, between job, life, friends and family. Just like in Pilates - where it is also important to find the strong core :)

I grew up living near the water, and I suppose because of this I’ve always been drawn to the elements; water, wind, fire, earth and sky. I’ve found these elements present in every place that I’ve been enticed to call home, which is perhaps why I feel most at home in my yoga practice, which is so interwoven with the elements.
First drawn to yoga as a philosophy student over 25 years ago, yoga has been instrumental in finding balance in my own life. It was like finding a map to better understand how to be in the world; with myself, my body, and in relationship with others. My studies of yoga include a variety of internationally renowned teachers and schools, most notably the Jivamukti and Iyengar yoga methods, which I’ve been practicing for over 15 years.
I teach the Jivamukti method, and this includes alignment cues, awareness of the breath, and plenty of music. Hands-on adjustments are a unique aspect of my classes intended to give the practitioner a better understanding of correct alignment, the energetics of asana and an awareness of the body in space.
Above all else, as a yoga teacher, a Rolfer and a human being, I aim to create a space in the world where we celebrate our individuality and co-exist with compassion.

Since 2000, Claire has aimed to create her own detailed, inspirational and methodical approach to Vinyasa Flow Yoga – where she builds specific methods of creating krama (sequencing) and alignment, then layering music, yogic philosophy and real-life stories. Claire is now the UK’s top Vinyasa teacher, and continues to build on this extensive research into the minuscule details that make Vinyasa Flow Yoga the yoga form of the future.
Claire has taught her dynamic, choreographed and alignment based approach to Vinyasa Flow Yoga at yoga studios throughout the world. She has created a renowned Vinyasa Flow Yoga DVD and music for yoga CD and her successful yoga teacher training programme will have trained over 100 skilled teachers from Europe by April 2014.

'As a vegan Jivamukti Yoga teacher I like Wellicious and Wellicious Clothing because of its commitment to eco-friendly and socially responsible practices. I also love the stylish and practical clothing that you can wear from the studio to the street!'
I was born in Cape Town. Since I was a girl I had a burning desire in my heart for movement, dance and music. However, being a child of colour, I was devout of the possibility to attend a ballet school . At age 10 I was very lucky to become the youngest member of a political dance group against the apartheid system. However because of the commitment of our family, the situation became somewhat dicey, so we moved to Germany. I finally had the opportunity to complete training as a dancer and a few years later followed the trainings as a certified movement therapist, yoga and Pilates teacher . Through my work I have the opportunity to travel a lot . Each trip brings me closer to what I've been doing with absolute devotion for 23 years - teaching , lead trainings and my great curiosity about the human body . Whether, in my own yoga and Pilates studio in Munich, as an expert in front of the camera or author, I am passionate about what I do. I teach classical Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Pilates and I work a lot with the fascia . For me, the top priority is to give my students room and never force them into a specific pattern. Why should I force someone to lie on their back in Savasana if they feel comfortable on their belly?!
'I like the variety of styles, materials and colours and the good quality [of Wellicious]. It's like a second skin!'

"The clothes look and feel totally fabulous!!!"
Leipzig, GermanyAshtanga Yoga, RYT200Movement has always been a fascinating tool to connect with the body for me. During my childhood, I have been doing Ballet for many years. Later on I continued dancing Jazz Dance in professional formations and practiced Pilates.
It seemed just a matter of time that I would eventually get in touch with Yoga. I discovered the magics of connecting the fascination of movement with the mind in the Netherlands, where I met my first Yoga teachers. Especially the effects of Ashtanga Yoga were mesmerizing to me. Ashtanga Yoga is a very dynamic Yoga practice that requires breathing awareness and a focused mind. The healthy and meditative effects of this method profoundly influenced my way of looking at movement and physical practice.
I have been traveling to Mysore, the home of Ashtanga Yoga, to deepen my Yoga practice and to become a Yoga teacher and instructor of the Ashtanga Yoga method. After my travels and studies of Yoga in India, I settled in Leipzig, Germany, and have been teaching Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga there ever since.
Birmingham, United KingdomHatha Vinyasa, Journalist/TV PresenterI’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for 4…and I love it. I always say it’s my superpower, it makes me strong, confident and soft all at the same time. It takes me to my happy place and leaves me there. I can’t get enough of watching my students transform in every class. My mission is always to break down any mystique about the practice, this after all is for everyone. We move with ease, becoming fluid and youthful with every move and more importantly we have so much fun doing it. It’s all about challenging and pushing ourselves without ever taking ourselves too seriously, which comes in really useful off the mat too! I think my mantra sums things up quite nicely:
Strong Happy You

I love the feel and fit so much that I don’t just wear these clothes to teach yoga but I wear them out and about too.
