Paris, FranceHatha & Prenatal Yoga, Yoga TherapyIt is as an actress of an American acting troupe , where I discovered yoga to calm me down before I went on stage . Yoga is very important for me and helps me to find more balance and to feel more in tune with myself.
Back on stage in Paris and after the creation of my own theater group, I studied yoga and finished a teacher training at the Center for Yoga with Michelle Marsh Jacobi. This training is recognized by Yoga Alliance and allows me to teach in two languages that I speak fluently.
Yoga is a way for me to find to myself . The body is the temple of the soul and yoga is a way to get back to the basics , where our inner voice can express itself and where you learn to listen properly to your yourself. In this way we become more resilient, more relaxed and experience physical as well as mental harmony.
Because I have personally experienced the benefits of yoga on body and mind, I believe in the power of it and now want to support people in need with this knowledge. With this hope in mind, I am educating myself further to become a yoga therapist.

Paris, FrancePilates TeacherIn spring 1999, I was introduced to Pilates by a friend from my dance college days in Oslo, Norway who was living in NY, while I was living in Paris working as a freelance dancer.
I discovered the only Pilates studio that existed in Paris at the time, and got instantly hooked by the Pilates virus, discovering with time the multitude of benefits the method had to improve my dance skills. I signed up for the first Pilates teaching certification course to be organized in France and after several study trips to NY. I obtained my diploma in 2002 and opened my own Pilates studio, Keana, in Madeleine/Concorde, in the heart of Paris in 2004. I feel that teaching Pilates is a continual discovery process of the body and its possibilities and sensations where I everyday learn from the experiences; in my practice, with my students and by other teachers. I have also been practicing Yoga for many years; Ashtanga, Vinyasa, pranayama and have attended meditation retreats, I strongly feel the complimentary benefits of all these practices.
Paris, FranceAshtanga YogaLinda was first introduced to yoga in 1996 in Toronto, Canada with Ron Reid and Diane Bruni. She had been in a car accident in 1995 and was in physical therapy when she became interested in yoga as a way to compliment the therapy.
In 1997 she moved to New York City with her work in the fashion business while continuing a daily ashtanga practice studying under Eddie Stern. The year 2000 brought her to Paris, France. After thirteen years in the world of fashion she decided it was the time to move fully into the direction she had been moving since her first yoga class. So she started teaching yoga as her own study and practice continues. Linda and her husband, Gerald Disse, opened Ashtanga Paris in February 2004.
She studied yogic scriptures and philosophy, having completed a 250 hour study program of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, and a 120 hour course on the Bhagavad Gita under the supervision of Georg Feuerstein. She was one of his 10 mentoring students until he passed away. Linda is also a student of Sri O.P. Tiwari and is certified by him to teach kriyas and pranayama.
