Based in Vienna Pilates System Europe was founded by Anna Schrefl, whose background stems from contemporary dance at the Amsterdam School of Art and Modern Dance Academy Rotterdam. Anna completed her Pilates education in 2001 in New York with Romana Kryzanowska, a student of Joseph Pilates. She then gained further experience in the classic Pilates technique in France and the Netherlands. Her extensive experience and long term associations with physical therapists and osteopaths combined with additional training in Spiral Dynamics© in Switzerland enabled Anna to develop her own Pilates method, called "Pilates System Europe,” and to establish a training institute in Vienna.

"We are building on rich experience and knowledge,” says Anna. "Joseph Pilates was a visionary and extremely creative thinker, who in the 20th century discovered and transformed a lot. The combination of his knowledge with the physiological findings of the 21st century is the vision that guides the services and training we provide at our studio." Anna is an active choreographer. For more than a decade, she has provided training for groups and individuals as well as workshops for dancers.

arrow_grey Christine Rebhan,  Hatha Yoga Teacher

Christine Rebhan has been working more then 10 years as an executive assistant in several companies, when she suddenly got stuck in kind of a midlife crises. A lot of questions came up to me at that time: Who am I? and what is my purpose in this world? During that time I accidentally stepped into a Yoga class in a Gym in Munich.

And that was the beginning...

Now, she works as a life coach based in Munich Germany. In my work as a mental coach I combine the classical yoga techniques from the big four paths with today’s modern techniques like NLP, EFT (emotional freedom techniques) and Gestalt Therapy for example. It's meant to help you form strategies to overcome emotional blockades and to become aware of learned behavioral patterns. There is so much more to discover, nearly everything we are searching for has been sought in the past. So, we are not alone in our search for self-knowledge.

Claire Finlay, Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Pilates

arrow_grey Claire Finlay, Vinyasa Flow Yoga & Pilates

Claire Finlay has always been passionate about health and exercise. Inspired by the powerful effect that yoga had on her own practice, she left her position in a leading global advertising agency to start a journey of yoga study across South India. Since then she’s taught in some of London’s most popular centres and has been fortunate to work alongside many prestigious names. Today Claire runs a busy health and fitness consultancy in London where she teaches a broad range of disciplines. Her approach to exercise is multidisciplinary, with the ancient philosophy of yoga sitting alongside new and more technically advanced approaches to fitness. So whether it’s flowing Vinyasa, dynamic Pilates, Power Plate or body conditioning, Claire is keen to incorporate the synchronisation of breath and movement into everything she teaches and believes the principles of yoga can help everyone to live healthily, feel good and age gracefully. Claire works with triathletes to pregnant mums - sharing her love and understanding of health and fitness while providing a strong emphasis on flowing sequences, proper body alignment and anatomical understanding. Her philosophy is that, by inviting mindfulness and self-awareness, her students can improve their physical shape and balance their wellbeing. Claire will be running a series of luxury barefoot retreats in 2012 which will feature yoga, diving and big game fishing on the exquisite private island of Vamizi, just off the coast of Mozambique. She’s delighted that the Wellicious brand is her preferred partner.
