Indeed, quite the opposite is true. More and more people around the world are switching onto the benefits of this form of exercise.

Meanwhile, it’s not only adults who are benefiting from slipping into their yoga clothing. Youngsters are also getting in on the action.

Something for the kids

The discipline can be great for children and one woman has been emphasising this point. Healthy Hollywood noted that Katie Brennan from Denton in Greater Manchester has started running classes aimed at kids. They focus on play, song, games and simple relaxation techniques.

According to the news source, yoga for children is not something new. It pointed out that US charity Bent On Learning has been championing the benefits of yoga for children for the past decade. It also noted that actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed she practices yoga with her children to help calm them down.

The benefits of yoga for children

Bent On Learning’s Susie Lopez suggested that exercises like this can help boys and girls to cope with the pressures they face. She said: “School days can be long and challenging; peer pressure, stresses at home or in a busy social life can build up and debilitate even the most grounded of students. Our curriculum teaches yoga asana or poses, mindfulness and skills to boost focus and emotional stability.”

Meanwhile, according to the instructor, kids love to get into their yoga trousers and so on and take part in the activities. According to the expert, they make the perfect pupils because their “hearts and minds are open” and they live “completely in the present”.

Encouraging your children to have a go

If you’re eager for your youngsters to get involved in yoga, it’s important to make sure they have the right gear. Equipping them with the perfect garments, yoga mats and so on is vital as without these items, they might struggle to make the most of their experiences.

Getting started at an early age

It’s even possible to get your little ones involved in yoga when they’re still babies. Indeed, we even sell special shoes, mats and clothes for tiny tots.

To see our full range of items, just take a look around our website. Introducing your children to the wonders of yoga from an early stage might start a lifelong passion in the discipline and this could be great news for their health.

After all, the discipline is superb as a way of boosting flexibility and strength. It’s also an excellent way for people to reduce their levels of stress and anxiety, which can ultimately benefit their wellbeing more generally.

In her book, “Dancing with your Dragon: The Art of Loving your Unlovable Self,” the dragon symbolizes our personal power. Just like electricity can be helpful or harmful, our personal power can also be used to benefit ourselves and the world, or it can be used in a way that leads to destruction.

Each and every one of us has a degree of personal power. We use this power every day: to get out of bed, go to work, communicate and share with those around us, and to do all that we do from morning to night.

Her research on the dragon as a symbol has led to bottom line its meaning as power, pure and simple. Power is an interesting thing; in and of itself power is neutral. Yet its expression can have a helpful or harmful effect on the world, depending on how it is used. For example, electricity is an extremely helpful energy for humanity, yet when electrical wiring becomes faulty; it can cause a house to burst into flames, destroying the house and everything in it.
Written in simple language, this book details a spiritual practice that will lead you on a deep and profound journey toward unconditional self-love.

This book will help you…
• Accept the parts of yourself that you don’t like
• Become more present in your body
• Learn to contact and release deep inner pain
• Befriend your emotional body and the child within
• Learn to balance giving and receiving
• Improve your relationships with others
• Develop your intuition
• Contact your Higher Self and learn to receive its guidance
• Forgive yourself and others

Quantum Yoga® is a system of grouping and linking postures (asana) in a breath-synchronised flow (vinyasa), and assessment guidelines based on Ayurveda’s holistic approach, lead to optimal yoga practice. There are three advanced sequences which each regulate a ‘dosha’, mind/body type: Pitta, Vata and Kapha which makes the practice more personal. The sequences are both challenging and restorative.

The first of the DVD’s is Infinity Trees, based around the vata-regulating Advanced Quantum Yoga sequence that emphasizes grounding, cultivates strength and provides physical and emotional steadiness. It takes its inspiration from the tree, the connector between Heaven & Earth, the giver of life and vitality.

The next DVD available in the set is Leaping Salmon. Quantum Yoga® facilitates the creation of dynamic sequences in accordance with individual requirements. A system of grouping and linking postures (asana) in a breath-synchronised flow (vinyasa), and assessment guidelines based on Ayurveda’s holistic approach, lead to optimal yoga practice. This highly stimulating and invigorating sequence is designed to regulate kapha, the Ayurvedic dosha (body-mind constitution) elementally defined as earth and water.

Last in the trilogy is the Beauty DVD. Having the strength to face your weaknesses is truly empowering. The pitta-type has the tendency to be goal-orientated and focus on result rather than process. In accordance with the Quantum method, which seeks to optimise practice taking into account any present tendencies, this would indicate that the yogi needs to take the attention away from an attempt at mastering postures towards the cultivation of smooth transitions and an even expenditure of energy.

The Advanced Dosha-regulating Quantum Yoga DVD Trilogy will be available on www.quantumyoga.com.
